“I chose to participate because I wanted a bridge between being a student and becoming an independent RT — and the program provided exactly that. I gained hands-on experience in critical care, including leading procedures such as bronchoscopies alongside physicians, which strengthened my confidence and clinical judgment. The internship gave me technical skills and the opportunity to function as part of the healthcare team. I clocked in, communicated with staff and physicians, and made decisions under the guidance of my mentor.”
